About Wild Wings

Located in Central New Jersey Wild Wings is a member-owned UPLAND HUNTING CLUB organized along the lines of a Golf or Country Club.  Occupying an 1100 acre tract, managed primarily for upland hunting, the Club is run by its members through their regularly elected officers in accordance with the Club’s by-laws.  No individual receives any income or special benefit from Club operations.  Wild Wings members share in some of the tasks which builds a sense of fellowship and keeps costs down.                                                                                      

The Hunting Program:   Although Wild Wings is a private, membership club, it maintains a commercial hunting preserve license.  This allows our members to release birds and train dogs from September through mid April. The Club stocks from November through February on Saturdays AND Sundays as well as many holidays  Wild Wings releases more than 5000 birds each season - Pheasant, Quail and Chukar. There is no daily or season limit on the number of birds a member may harvest – nor a per bird fee!

Deer and Turkey Hunting:  As the name indicates, Wild Wings is primarily an Upland Hunting Club.  However, there are large Deer and Turkey populations which the members hunt with great success.  To accommodate the Club’s Deer hunting members, Wild Wings does not stock the Saturday during Buck Firearms Season. • Fund Raising and Fun Activities:  The Club sponsors a number of activities through which the members derive a great deal of enjoyment while raising money to further reduce membership expenses.  Wild Wings hosts several Tower Shoots which provide enjoyment for the participant as well as the members while generating income for the Club. Tower Shoots Wild Wings also holds an annual Dinner which has been called “the best in the State”. Special Events.  These activities are run by the members for the benefit of the membership.

Hunting Opportunities Disappear, As Available Land Is Lost Forever:
As the amount of available land decreases, remaining hunting properties are under increasing pressure from all sources including other hunting clubs.   Even if a given piece of property is not developed, near-by development may jeopardize its continued use for hunting.

Wild Wings Is Different: The Wild Wings property lies within the “Preservation Zone” of the New Jersey Pinelands – Americas first National Reserve!  In addition, the “development credits” have been stripped from the property assuring that it will remain “wild forever”.  This pristine property has been in continuous use as an upland hunting preserve since 1985.  There are extensive stretches of open oak forest interspersed with irregularly shaped fields, which have been created as “wildlife openings” and bird habitat.  The property also boasts a picturesque lake.

 
Limited Membership Size:  To insure maximum enjoyment and safety for its members, Wild Wings is committed to maintaining low hunter density by keeping its membership small. The limited membership and large property size contribute greatly to the enjoyment of the members and to safety in general. The Club also maintains a large, broad coverage liability insurance policy for its protection and that of the members.

Wild Wings Assures Your Hunting Opportunities:  While no one can guarantee what events may occur in the future, if the hunting laws and property rights remain reasonably intact, the expectation is that the Wild Wings hunting experience will continue well into the foreseeable future.

Additional Benefits for “Charter Members”: Charter Members will receive special advantages.  If and when they sell their membership share, they will retain 100% of the original price paid, as well as a substantial portion of any profits from the sale. * Subsequent members will not be permitted to sell under these same terms.*See Bylaws for details.
Potential Increase in Value: While there can be no guarantee of the price of a Wild Wings membership share in the future, the organizers believe that as hunting land disappears, a Wild Wings membership share will increase in value.   However, no one should purchase a Wild Wings membership as a financial investment or with an expectation of financial gain.

Costs:  There are two (2) principle costs involved in a Wild Wings membership; 1.) purchase of a membership share and 2.) annual dues.  There are no additional hunting costs such as a “per  bird fee”.
